Evento com atletas amadores e profissionais foi realizado nesse domingo no Aterro do Flamengo

A edição de estreia do Tristar Rio no Aterro do Flamengo reuniu mais de 600 atletas amadores e profissionais em duas provas muito especiais, de 55.5km e 111km neste domingo (14) .

 

Em um dia com perfeitas condições climáticas – céu parcialmente encoberto e temperaturas agradáveis, o fantástico Monumento aos Pracinhas, a Praia e o Aterro do Flamengo foram utilizados como um paradisíaco cenário para a realização dessa primeira edição da série Tristar no Brasil.

 

Em um evento onde o embaixador do TriStar Rio apoiou todos os participantes e após sofrer algumas câimbras acabou perdendo a liderança da prova, o primeiro triatleta a concluir todo o percurso da prova de 111km (1km de natação, 100 de ciclismo e 10 de corrida) foi Santiago Ascenço, dono de importante títulos nacionais e internacionais, entre eles o tricampeonato do Trofeu Brasil e o segundo lugar no IronMan Brasil realizado esse ano. “É muito especial vencer essa primeira edição do Tristar no país, é uma nova era non Triathlon. Espero que o esporte cresça ainda mais com esses eventos”, comenta o campeão que finalizou o percurso em 03:12:58

 

O atleta Adriano Sacchetto chegou logo depois, terminando a prova com 03:14:39. O terceiro lugar da prova de 111km  do TriStar Rio Luiz Francisco Ferreira  terminou a prova com 03:15:43.

 

Entre as mulheres, a tricampeã brasileira de Triathlon Vanessa Gianini teve um excelente desempenho na prova e garantiu o primeiro lugar, após manter a liderança da prova durante toda a prova. Ela concluiu o percurso em 03:34:52, seguida por Suzana Festner, que encerrou a prova em 03:37:30. Bruna Mahn garantiu a  terceira colocada na edição inédita do TriStar Rio 111, ao terminar o percurso de natação, ciclismo e corrida em 03:44:44.

 

TriStar 55.5km

 

Além da prova de 111km, o TriStar Rio realizado pela Star Events South America em parceria com a agência de marketing esportivo One Sports Business realizou também uma prova com um formato muito interessante, de 55.5km (0.5km de natação, 50km de ciclismo e 5km de corrida).

 

Nessa prova, a triatleta Carla Moreno teve o melhor resultado e garantiu o topo do pódio, ao encerrar o percurso em 02:01:59. Andrea Carloni terminou a prova em 02:20:25, seguida por Yana Glaser que, com 02:32:45, encerrou sua participação no TriStar Rio 55.5

 

Entre os homens, o brasileiro que representou o país nos Jogos Olímpicos de Londres, Diogo Sclebin fez uma prova de alta nível e recebeu a medalha de ouro ao terminar o percurso mais curto com 01:47:13. Wesley Matos chegou pouco tempo depois de Diogo e terminou a prova com 01:50:12. O triatleta Pedro Arieta também teve um notável desempenho e concluiu o percurso em 01:51:08.

 

Além dos triatletas amadores e profissionais que participaram dessa divertida edição do TriStar Rio, algumas personalidades marcaram presença no evento, como Mario Moraes, João Paulo Diniz e o rapper Túlio Deck. O idealizador do projeto TriStar no Brasil, o piloto Lucas di Grassi também participou da prova de 111km e gostou muito do resultado do evento.

 

“Essa prova está muito bem organizada, os atletas estão muito empolgados com essa edição inédita do Tristar Rio. Já participei de outras provas e essa sem dúvida, é a que tem o percurso mais interessante, mais bonito”, comenta o atleta. “Ainda há alguns detalhes a serem melhorados, mas no geral, o resultado é muito positivo”, comenta Lucas di Grassi.

Fantastic event with amateur and professional athletes was held on Sunday in Aterro do Flamengo.


The debut edition of Tristar in Flamengo Rio gathered more than 800 amateur and professional athletes in two very special events of 55.5km and 111km on Sunday (14).

On a day with perfect weather conditions  and pleasant temperatures, the fantastic Monumento dos Pracinhas, beach and Aterro do Flamengo were welcoming the organization setting for the realization of this first edition of Tristar Rio in Brazil.

The first triathlete to complete the entire race route of 111km (1km swim, 100 bike race and 10) was Ascenco Santiago, one of the best Brazilian long distance athlete, including three-time champion Brazil's Trophy and second in Ironman Brazil this year. "It's very special to win this first edition of Tristar in my country, it is a new age for Triathlon. I hope the sport will grow even more with these events, "said the champion who finished the course in 3:12:58.

After a mass start from the beach in front of the Pan de Azucar, Marcus Fernandes was first out of the water followed by a group of 5 people in which Marcus Ornellas local heroe and TriStar ambassador was more than motivated to push hard on the bike course.After 30k on the bike Marcus Fernandes wass leading, Gustavo Slaib was second with 1 minute gap, Adriano Sacchetto, Alvaro Couthino, Marcus Ornellas, Antonio Filho and Fabio Carvalho were together in the chasing group at 30 seconds behind.

The group stayed together during the flat and fast bike course along the coast passing Flamengo Beach and Botafogo Beach. After 75k, Luiz Ferreira took the lead and wanted to get out of the small group where Marcus Ornellas, Adriano Sacchetto and Santiago Ascenco were chasing him. Finally they arrived all together and the fight could start for the 10k run course.

On the run Santiago Ascenco made the difference and when Marcus Ornellas was cramps suffering, Ascenco increase his advance to be the first TriStar 111 Rio de Janeiro winner with an excellent time of 3 hours and 12 minutes.

Adriano Sachetto keep the pace on Luiz Ferreira and finished second only 1 minute in front of his collegue Ferreira.

On the women field, the three-time champion Brazilian Triathlon Vanessa Gianini had an excellent performance in the race and secured the first place. She completed the course in 3:34:52, followed by Suzana Festner, which ended the race in 3:37:30. Bruna Mahn secured third place in this inaugural edition of TriStar 111 Rio, to finish the race in 3:44:44.

TriStar 55.5km

Aside from the 111 race, the TriStar Rio conducted by Star Events South America in partnership with sports marketing agency One Sports Business  was also proposing a shorter distnace race with a very interesting format of 55.5km (0.5km swimming, 50km cycling and 5km race).

In this race, the triathlete Carla Moreno had the best result and secured the top of the podium, while finishing the course in 2:01:59. Andrea Carloni finished the race in 2:20:25, followed by Maria Brandão Tavares, with 02:23:21, ended his participation in the TriStar River 55.5

In the men race, the Brazilian who represented the country in London Olympics, Diogo Sclebin did a high level performance and received the gold medal by finishing with the fastest time of 01:47:13. Wesley Matos arrived shortly after and placed himself second in 1:50:12. The triathlete Pedro Freitas also had a notable performance and completed the course in 1:51:08 for the third place.

In addition to professional and amateur triathletes who participated in this fun edition of TriStar Rio de Janeiro, some personalities present at the event, as Mario Moraes, João Paulo Diniz and rapper Tulio Deck. The mastermind of the TriStar in Brazil, the driver Lucas di Grassi also participated in the 111km race and really liked the outcome of the event.

"This race is very well organized, athletes are very pleased about this inaugural edition of Tristar Rio. I have attended other events and this event has undoubtedly the set up for the most interesting and most beautiful event in Brazil," says the athlete. "There are still some details to be improved, but overall, the result is very positive", says Lucas ..

Santiago Ascenco is winning the first TriStar 111 Rio de Janeiro after a very fast 10k run with a 3:12:58 global time.

Here comes now Adriano Sacchetto in the second place and Alvaro Cotinho in third place.

And now comes the women on the T2 Vanessa Gianinni is first with 2' on  Susana Festner and 4' on Mariana Andrade very close with Ana Borba.

We are very close to the bike finish now and Luiz Ferreira is now leading the race infront of 4 guys chasing him 20" behind, marcus Ornellas, Adriano Sacchetto and Santiago Ascenco.

TriStar has a slight focus on the bike section of each race, which is quite obvious when looking at the breakdown of the distances. Additionally, all races try to feature special bike layouts that remain in people's heads.

Participants will bike 3 loops of 17km along the coast from center city passing by Flamengo beach till Botafogo beach totally close to traffic. Drafting not allowed!!!

We are in Flamengo beach here in Rio for the first TriStar Rio and athletes will have to swim 500 meters in the ocean, with a 3 buoys course to be followed by spectators. A 50m run will take competitors into the first transition area before leaving for a 3 loops bike leg.

After 1h45 santiago Ascenco is leading the race here in Rio in front of Adriano Sacchetto and a group of 3 guys with Marcus Ornellas, Alvaro Coutinho and Luiz Ferreira 1'30" behind the leader.

It seems we will have a second part of bike race very strategic on this very fast and flat race.

After 40k Marcus Fernandes is still leading the race with 15 seconds in front of local heroe Marcus Ornellas !

30 seconds behind Ornellas a chasing group with Adriano Sacchetto, Alvaro Coutinho and Santiago Ascenco.

The German athlete Till Schramm is not in the leading position, he went out of the water very far after a shoulder problem.

After 30kms on the bike here are the positions:

1- Marcus Fernandes is leading.

2- Gustavo Slaib is second with 1 minute gap.

3- Adriano Sacchetto, Alvaro Couthino, Marcus Ornellas, Antonio Filho andFabio Carvalho together in the chasing group at 30 seconds behind Gustavo Slaib.
